SAFETY At Best interiors

While most companies treat safety as a reactive process, Best Interiors is proactive in its approach to safety. In a time when companies have cut back their safety resources, Best Interiors has emphasized its safety program. This approach gives our customers an advantage in several key areas:

  • A safer workplace means fewer incidents, which reflects in a lower experience modification rate. This makes Best Interiors more cost effective, and therefore more competitive.
  • By making our worksites safer, our employees have an enhanced well-being and are more productive.

Best Interiors safety department is led by our Safety Director, Adrian Ledesma. Adrian has been with Best Interiors over 15 years. He worked for many years as a Foreman, before becoming the Safety Director. He holds a Professional Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, as well as Scaffold Erector/User, First Aid/CPR, Ariel Platforms Trainer, Forklift Trainer, Fall Protection, Powder Actuated Tools Trainer. His field experience gives him the insight to recognize the issues and hazards present on a construction site, which allows him to structure procedures in a way which promotes both safety and productivity. Adrian prides himself on his working relationships with our crews and our customers and is a member of the AGC San Diego Chapter Safety Committee and also a member of the Star Awards Safety Committee.

The Best Interiors Safety Committee meets regularly to review incidents and devise plans and procedures to enhance the culture of safety within the company. Best Interiors’ commitment to safety can be evidenced by the individuals who comprise the Safety Committee. All corporate officers, along with the Safety Director, Vice President of Operations, and Superintendents make up the committee. Alternating foreman from each Area also attend, which gives a field perspective to proposed procedural changes or enhancements and helps to ensure that our safety culture is pushed down to the “boots on the ground” level.
